Bio

Helen Marie (Myrick) McFerrin of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 26, 2017 at the age of 88. She was born on December 26, 1928 to Arlie and Lessie (Randales) Myrick in McKinney, Texas. Marie married Floyd Garner McFerrin on June 17, 1960. She worked for 33 years for Southwestern Bell, then AT&T retiring in 1986 as a District Manager. Marie is survived by her sons, Bryan G. McFerrin and wife, Kim of Princeton, Texas; Robby K. Pope of McKinney, Texas and Lindy G. Pope of Anna, Texas; husband, Roy Wilson of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Martha Sloan and husband, Johnny of Manford, Oklahoma and Bonnie Hallcom and husband, Jimmy of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jake McFerrin, Angie Bolin, Shannon Bolin, Christian Pope and Karrina Pope; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd McFerrin; daughter, Alexis Lynn Bolin, brother, Ray Myrick; and sisters, Johnnie Langford and Maudie McGraw. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 with Chaplain Bobby Tollison officiating.
