Bio

Funeral for Daniel L. DIrksen will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. He died Saturday in a Battle Ground nursing home at age 72. Mr. Dirksen was born in Kingsbury, S.D., and had lived in Vancouver since 1981. He was a retired truck driver for Consolidated Freightways of Billings, Mont., and was a member of the Teamsters union. Surviving Mr. Dirksen are his son, Gary L. of Vancouver; brother, Lloyd of Huron, S.D.; sister, Florence Riemers of Hurson, S.D.; and two granddaughters. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Oregonian, Wednesday, October 24, 1984 Married to Arvella Belle Harris.
