Agnes "A.J." Johnson, 95, of Grand Island, died Oct. 8, 2017, at her home. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Ti Anne (Raymond) Weber of Walker, Minn.; a son, Steve (Ginger) Johnson of Doniphan; a sister, Lucille Trosil of Valpraiso; grandchildren, Tara Dinger, Kelly Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Levi Wertz and Gabrelle Olderbak; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. A.J. was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a son, Mark Johnson; and 12 brothers and sisters. A.J. was born Sept. 27, 1922, on a farm near Dwight, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Hraban) Kadavy. Following her education, she married Emil Liska. After Emil's death, she married Harold Johnson in 1953. A.J. made her home in Grand Island, where she was employed for more than 35 years at Fonner Park as a teller for the horse races. She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. A.J. so loved her cottage where each spring she fed her goslings and baby ducks. She shared her love of nature and her perfect sunsets with all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She instilled in all that the most important things in life were "Family and Health." Services 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Leo's Catholic Church. All Faiths Funeral Home.
