Bio

Gayle Paulette Honza, 68, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 in Ennis, Texas. Gayle was born on November 15, 1948 to Eric and Ardrie (Kubin) Honza in Ennis, Texas. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School as the Valedictorian of the Class of 1966. She went on to attend the University of Texas. She worked for the University of Texas at Austin as a Professors Aide for ten years and for Leggett and Platt in the office for several years. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis where she served as organist for a period of time. She is preceded in death by her parents most recently by her mother Ardrie Honza on July 1, 2017. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Layman’s Catholic Cemetery Trust or Nepomucene’s Kids.
