Delores M. Semerad, age 86, of Clarkson, formerly of Howells, Nebraska passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Clarkson Community Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at St. John’s Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells. Burial will be at Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. all at the church. Memorials are suggested to family wishes. Svoboda Funeral Home in Schuyler in charge of these arrangements. Delores was born on January 3, 1931 to Anton K. and Anna (Lopour) Zrust on the farm near Clarkson. She married Joseph J. Semerad on August 22, 1950 at Holy Trinity Church, Heun. Four children were born to this union. Delores was a member of St. John’s Church and Altar Society. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable garden, baking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Karen (Larry) Pickhinke of Lincoln, Allen Semerad of Dodge and David (Carol) Semerad of Howells. 9 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Delores is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph in 1979, one daughter, JoAnn K. Semerad, one brother, Edward Zrust and one sister, Evelyn Kucera.
