Douglas Merle Beech, 72, of Laurel, MS died Monday, October 16, 2017 at Laurel Dialysis in Laurel, MS. He was born Monday, October 30, 1944 in Jones County, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel. Burial will follow in Calhoun Missionary Baptist Church in Calhoun, MS. Bro. Leon Carmical will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements. (601)649-3342 He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Audry Lee Beech; and sister, Catherine Hinton. Survivors include his wife, Delores Beech, Laurel, MS; daughter, Audry Beech, Laurel, MS, son, Timothy Beech (Teresa), Soso, MS, daughter, Tammy Kepley, Gulfport, MS, son, James Douglas Beech, Ellisville, MS, son, John David Beech (Courtney), Laurel, MS and step-son, Nicholas Grayson, Laurel, MS; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Eva Dale Herndon (Pete), Laurel, MS, Marion Gay Everett (Tommy), Diamondhead, MS and Becky Jefcoat (Pat), Laurel, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Austin Beech, Timothy Allen Beech, Jr., Anthony James Beech, Gauge Slaughter, Brandon Beech and Nicholas Grayson.
