Bio

Ed studied electronics and built his own crystal set. In 1923, he lived at 2614 A. in Omaha, NE, and he worked as an electrician. He later moved to Copper Hill, TN, and then to Los Angeles, CA, where he worked for his brother, Lewis, who had an electrical contracting business. In 1934, Ed moved to Ajo, AZ where he eventually became the Assistant Head Electrician at Phelps Dodge Mining Co. His family joined him on March 24th. He also started his own business selling and renting refrigerators. He learned to fly an airplane and had a two seater, then a four seater of his own. Ed and Inez took many trips in their plane. Ed died trying to land his plane in a storm at the Ajo Airport, where the lights were off. His best friend, Lloyd Templeton also died in the crash. They had been on their way to Phoenix to pick up Lloyd's son, when they turned back due to bad weather.
