Bio

(1) ALTOGA. Last Sunday week Mr. Eddie Carey and Miss Ada Lacy, accompanied by Joe Strode and Miss Vallie Lacy, Luther Mitchell and Miss Icy Carroll, Tom Durham and Miss Lillie Terrell, drove to Blue Ridge and were married by Rev. Moreland. They left Thursday for Humble, Texas, their future home. Source: The Democrat, McKinney, Texas, Thursday, May 24, 1906; Pg. 11, Column 3 (2) ALTOGA. W. W. Lacy received word Saturday that his daughter, Mrs. Ada Carey of Oklahoma, was very sick with typhoid fever. Lacy and daughter, Miss Valla, returned Sunday from Prue, Oklahoma, where they went to attend the bedside of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Ada Carey. After all that loving hands could do she passed away from this life to live with Jesus, Thursday at 1 o'clock and was buried near that place. Miss Ada Lacy was married to Edd Carey about five years ago. She leaves her husband and two little boys to mourn her death, besides her parents, brothers and sisters. The relatives have the sympathy of the entire community and everyone loved her.-Altoga, July 6.
