Bio

Mrs. Susie A. Shumate, Dallas resident for 21 years, was buried in Laurel Land Memorial Park after services conducted at Lamar & Smith Funeral Home by Dr. Wallace Bassett, pastor of Cliff Temple Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Mrs. Shumate died Friday night at her home, 419 Oak Cliff Boulevard. She came to Dallas from Teague, Freestone County. Mrs. Shumate is survived by one son, J. C. Shumate; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Dugger, Mrs. Ann Pipkin and Mrs. Sadie Hinds; and three granddaughters, all of Dallas; four brothers and three sisters.
