Life Legacy Randolph (Randy) Veryl Dannar “Maynard” I began my journey here on earth on December 4, 1961 and began my new adventure into heaven 49 years later on March 7, 2011. I will live on in those that I leave behind; the greatest joys of my life; wife, Lori (Annen) of 28 years, daughter Mandy and her husband Kyle Brice; son Ryan and his wife Katie Dannar; father Veryl Dannar, father and mother-in-law Darrel and Janice Annen, brother and sister-in-law Nick & Tammy Dannar, brother and sister-in-law John & Carolyn Annen, niece Melissa Annen and her children Kinzee, Maddie and Payton Swanson all of Hemingford, my friends, co-workers and community. My mother, Sheron Dannar, preceded me in death, along with my maternal and paternal grandparents. I worked at the Hemingford Co-operative Telephone Company since 1978 starting at the bottom and working my way up to Co-manager. I volunteered for the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Both were a very important part of my life. I enjoyed farming for many years on my off time with my brother for Bob Elliott. Later in life I became known as the “jack man” on the CPR Racing Team (Bob, Carolyn, Trent and Todd Phillips). Many will tell you that the United Methodist Church basement came alive when I would help out, I even made washing dishes fun. No matter what I did, I gave it my all and enjoyed what I was doing. Most will remember me by my laugh, it was contagious and one couldn’t help but laugh along. I tremendously enjoyed riding four wheelers and hunting with family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful life!!! Cancer did not determine his final days on this earth!! Cremation has taken place. A procession will start at the Multipurpose Hall at the Box Butte County Fair Grounds on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. and end at the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Hall where a celebration of life will take place and those wishing to share stories may do so. A time to visit with family and friends, along with a meal and beverages will take place. Per Randy’s request, please come comfortable by wearing jeans and tee shirt. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the family at PO Box 523; Hemingford, NE 69348 so they may be split between the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Department, Hemingford United Methodist Church, Festival of Hope, and Prairie Haven Hospice and send personal cards of thanks.
