Johnny Lee Thompson, Sr. passed away 07/01/2017 in Irving, Texas at the age of 39. He is survived by his wife of six months, Una Merritt; his mom, Martha Thompson, his brother, Robbie Withee; his grandparents Robbie and Kenneth Mox, and Mary Cooksey; his daughter, Tara Thompson; his sons Brian Lane Thompson and Johnny (J.J.) Thompson, Jr.; and his granddaughter, Amya Brownlee; along with a Nephew, and several Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Frankie Earl Thompson, Jr.; his biological mother, Sheila Ellis Smith (DOD 01/30/2016) and his half brother, Brian Wayne Thompson. Johnny Lee Thompson, Sr. was born on 01/26/1978 in Dallas, Texas to Frankie Earl Thompson, Jr. and Sheila Ellis Smith. He served our country in the Army for several years, where he excelled at marksmanship. He was trained as an electrician, a mechanic and as a HVAC Technician along with several other trades/skills. He and Una were members of the First United Methodist Church of Irving, Texas.
