She attended school in El Paso, Tx her first 11 years of school.On July 24, 1949, Patsy and Hugh James McKinney were married in El Paso, TX. She graduated from Coquille High School in Oregon. Survivors include Jesse Kay McKinney McCoy and Mavis Rae McKinney Christian.
