Bio
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Fairfield Baptist Church, Moselle for Mr. John Clarence Smith, age 75, of Ellisville who died September 5, 2017. Bro. Brad Brownlee, Bro. Ken Harrison, Bro. Gary Bridges and Bro. Kenney McMinn will officiate with burial to follow in the Fairfield Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Breeland, Randy Breeland, James Smith, C.A. Smith, Ray Smith, James Bridges and alternates Wayne Smith and Jimmy Ray Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Fairfield Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church of Moselle where he was an active deacon for over 40 years. He ran the sound system at the church for many years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Anderson Smith; and his parents, Rev. Lawrence Smith and Etta Lillian Lee Smith. Visitation will be 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
