Bio

Graveside services for Edna Mae Patton, 87, were at 3 p.m. today in Lakeview Cemetery in Floyd County with the Rev. Larry Perkins and Ernie Stane officiating. Burial arrangements were by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Patton died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004. She was born July 14, 1916, in Dill City, Okla., the daughter of Bill and Kittie Brooks Queen. She was a lifelong resident of Floydada where she was a school cafeteria cook at Andrews Elementary, retiring in 1977. She was a volunteer for Spirit of Sharing and Floydada Senior Citizens and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church, now Calvary´s Cornerstone Fellowship. On Oct. 1, 1939, she married C.O. Patton in Matador. He died in 1947. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; George and Donna Patton of Abernathy and Larry "LZ" and Marcia Patton of Clermont, Fla.; a daughter-in-law and her husband, Nita and Dr. John C. Key of Lubbock; a sister, Evelyn Pierce of Dalhart; grandchildren, Lisa and Ernie Stane and David and Suzanne Patton, all of Lubbock, Zach and Callie Patton of Pearland, Zeke Patton of Abernathy, Paula and Eric Glass, Sam and Molly Streby, Honor Rash-Gush, Jamie Rasch Webster and Dana Rasch, all of Orlando, Fla.; and 12 great-grandchildren. A son, W.C. Patton, died July 25, 2002; a daughter, Terry Nell Patton, died in 1945; and three brothers also are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Spirit of Sharing, 619 E.
