BATLA, John of Thorndale. Age 95. Died on Monday July 26, 1971 in a Taylor Nursing home. Services held (Tuesday) from Condra Memorial Chapel, Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. Albert Michalik officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born on December 22, 1875 in Czechoslavakia and came to the United States in early manhood. He resided on Route 1, Thorndale, a number of years where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Taylor Brethren Church and the SPJST Lodge of Taylor. Survivors: Daughter, Mrs. Rosie Tomancak, and a son, Johnny Batla, both of Route 1, Thorndale; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren. [ [email protected] ]
