Bio

James Donald Sandhoff passed away at his home in Grapevine, TX. early Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, Tx. Burial will follow in Marlin at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 at Adams Funeral Home. He was born to August and Nola Sandhoff in Crawford, TX. After attending Riesel High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and continued his service at the Marlin V.A. Hospital for 27 years. He married the love of his life Allene Smith Sandhoff on June 30, 1956. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Riesel, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers W.O. Sandhoff, Ralph Sandhoff, and Ross Sandhoff, and one sister Francis Juntunen. He is survived by: his wife Allene of 61 years, daughter Sheila Keel & husband, daughter Jennifer Purdy & husband, son Jeffrey Sandhoff & wife, grandchildren Cassandra Keel, Brandon Keel, Mitchell Purdy, Emily Purdy, Andrew Sandhoff, Alaina Sandhoff, sisters Janie Wells, Sue Bullington & husband, Nancy Mininger & husband, Judy Sandhoff, brothers Bill Sandhoff & wife, Jackie Sandhoff, and many nieces and nephews.
