St. Anthony's parish lost one of their most esteemed members last Tuesday when Mrs. Margaret Walterscheid passed away at her home. The sincere sympathy of the parishioners is extended to the bereaved family. (Published in The Catholic Advance, September 1, 1934, Saturday, Page 5.) August 29, 1934 - Mrs. Margaret Walterscheid, 73 years old, died Tuesday last at her home at 305 Cleveland after an illness of one week. Born in Troy Grove, Illinois, she had been a resident of Wichita for 35 years. Mrs. Walterscheid was a member of the St. Anthony's Altar Society and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was the widow of the late Charles Walterscheid, who died in 1928. She is survived by four sons, Frank, 305 Cleveland; Henry, 142 Indiana; Charles, Los Angeles, and Albert, 249 North Market; seven daughters, Mrs. Henry Ernstman, 519 Indian; Mrs. Philip Heser, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska; Mrs. Henry Fisher, 305 North Green; Mrs. Frank Harter, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska; Mrs. Harry Forgie, 2519 North Broadway, Miss Agatha and Miss Catherine, at home; three brothers, William, Joe and John Neu, and two sisters, Mrs. William Schmitz and Mrs. Joe Krebs, all of Lindsay, Texas, and 21 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Church Thursday, with burial at Calvary. (Published in The Catholic Advance, September 1, 1934, Saturday, Page 5.)
