"PRINCETON -- Jerry Thogmartin, 66 years old, for 12 years city marshal and street commissioner at Princeton, died Tuesday at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Thogmartin; two sons, William Thogmartin of Newtown, Mo., and Harold Thogmartin of Princeton; a stepson, Bill Matteson of the home; and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Studebaker and Mrs. Robert Oliphant, both of Kansas City. Funeral services will be held in Princeton Thursday." St Joseph Gazette (St Joseph, Missouri), May 26, 1948
