Obituaries The Athens Review Pete Busby Services for Pete Busby, 65, of Mabank are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Eubank Memorial Chapel of Mabank with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank. Mr. Busby died March 27, 2002, in Athens. He was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Eustace to Robert B. Busby and Ida J. Bryant Busby. He was a rancher and served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime resident of Eustace and Mabank. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Janie Busby of Mabank; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Colene Busby of Mabank, Bob and Linda Busby of Blooming Grove, Don Busby of Eustace, and Ricky and Betty Busby of Mabank; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vona Nason of Mabank, Wanda and Bill Prokop of Kemp, Linda and Horace Oliver of Wolf City, and Louise and Mike Gibbs of Dallas; and numerous other relatives. Pallbearers will be Carl Busby, Bob Busby, Don Busby and Ricky Busby. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
