Paula L. Loeffler of Columbus died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation Center. Paula was born March 30, 1919 in rural Leigh, Nebraska to Charles and Louise (Deyke) Grotelueschen. Paula grew up in rural Leigh on the family farm. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Loeffler on February 10, 1948 in Omaha. Together they farmed outside of Leigh. In 1977 she moved into Columbus. Paula was a very simple woman who loved to read the paper, listen to music, and most importantly, spend time with her family and granddaughter. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church. She is survived by: Son Keith L. (Michelle) Loeffler of Columbus Granddaughter Larissa Loeffler of Columbus Sister Jeannie Fillmer of West Point, NE She is preceded in death by: Parents Husband Lawrence Loeffler Sister Vera Hellbusch Brothers Roy, Norris, and Lavern Grotelueschen Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 10, 2017 St. Bonaventure Catholic Church 1565 18th Avenue Columbus, NE Vigil 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 09, 2017 McKown Funeral Home Columbus, NE Visitation 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 09, 2017 McKown Funeral Home Columbus, NE Visitation will continue 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning at McKown Funeral Home.
