Bio

GENE'S MUSIC BAR, 307 AKARD STREET Gene's Music Bar opened around 1956, just a few blocks up from the Adolphus Hotel. It was considered the first music bar in the southwest where patrons could experience stereophonic music. He owned and operated several other establishments on Akard. They were The Lasso Bar, The Jungle Hut Lounge and the Golden Steer #2.
