Nancy Walla Vayo, 97, of Austin, Texas passed away on August 6, 2017 in Austin, TX. She was born on June 1, 1920 to Willie and Lucy (Brokmeyer) Walla in Frelsburg, TX. Nancy was a self-employed doing ladies alterations. On May 22, 1944 she married John Vayo. She was a member of SPJST. Nancy is survived by her sons, John A. Vayo of Austin, TX, and Thomas John Vayo of Richmond, TX, grandchildren, Mark Allan Vayo, Charlotte N. Wolf, and Michael S. Vayo, great grandchildren, Sean Wolf, Shelton Wolf, and Ryan Vayo. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vayo, father, Willie Walla, mother, Lucy Brokmeyer Walla, sisters, Isabel Dernehl, Annie Schmidt, and Regina Agnello, brothers, Walter Walla, Edwin Walla, and Rudy Walla. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg, Texas. A rosary will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10:30 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Lyons, officiating. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Frelsburg. Pallbearers are Mark Allan Vayo, Michael S. Vayo, Sean Wolf, Shelton Wolf, and Steven Wolf. Memorials are suggested to the charity of your choice.
