Ms. Cooper passed away August 03, 2017 in Pearland, Texas. A funeral service for Carolyn Clampet Cooper, 76, of Marshall Texas was Tuesday, August 08, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. Interment in Colonial Gardens Cemetery, Marshall. s. Carolyn Clampet Cooper was born on March 26, 1941 to Collins Colquitt Clampet and Ruby Lee Murphy Clampet. Carolyn grew up in Waskom, and was the oldest of nine children, therefore, she helped in the raising of her younger siblings. After graduating from Waskom in 1958, she eventually settled in Marshall. She married Joseph Lee “ Joe” Cooper in San Antonio, Texas, who preceded her in death. She worked as an Executive Assistant for Alcoa. She loved her animals, reading and most of all she loved her grandkids, family and friends and spending time with them. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Cooper and wife, Mindi; grandchildren, Audrey Cooper and Collins Cooper; brothers, Ricky Clampet and wife, Tavia, Daniel Clampet and wife, Mickey; sisters, Linda Pappa and husband, Johnny, Betty Williams and husband, Rodney, Penny Lewis and husband, Michael; sister-in-law, Toni Clampet, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Kevin Anderson, and three brothers J.C. Clampet, Richard Clampet and Michael Clampet. Pallbearers will be Danny Stough, Steven Green, Lee Hart, Charles McGraw, Jason Heaton, and Stuart Hall. Honorary pallbearers are J.C. Clampet, and Richard “Bubba” Clampet. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
