Bio

Dennis George Facka, 62, of Kirtland, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Kirtland. He was born Dec. 20, 1954, in North Platte, Neb. to Floyd and Georgia Facka. Dennis graduated from Hershey High School in 1974. He retired from PNM in 2007 after 30 years. Dennis was an avid outdoorsman, coach, hunter, fisherman, and the best papa there was. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Georgia Facka. He is survived by his wife, Diolinda Facka; sons, Scott (Holly) Facka and Aaron Facka; brothers, Floyd "Butch" Facka from Kirtland and Doug (Linda) Facka from Sutherland, Neb.; sister, Joan (Facka) Johnson (Don) from Hershey, Neb. and grandchildren, Ronan Facka (7), Harper Facka (4) and Ridge Facka (1). A funeral service for Dennis will be at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 2 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington officiated by Father Frank Chacon. A reception will follow at 12 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish Hall. Interment will be at 4 p.m. in Mesa Poleo, N.M. Pallbearers are James Facka, Craig Mayberry, Joe Baca, Wayne Lake, Allan Jamison, Shawn Brusin and Gabe Facka. Honorary pallbearers are Ronan B. Facka, Ridge Facka and Charley Taulbee.
