Bio
Wife of Derial Hullender, Mother of Darla & Delena ∼ Jo Marie Hullender, age 75, of Waldron, Arkansas went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on November 16, 2016. Jo was born on September 12, 1941 to James and Ruby Laster. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Waldron where she was a Sunday School teacher to 5th and 6th graders for many years. Jo graduated from Mansfield High School and earned an associates degree from Westark College. She was a witty, smart and talented lady who loved visiting with her family, friends and neighbors. Jo worked for Waldron Public Schools for 39 years before retiring as a secretary at the elementary school. She loved the students and faculty she worked with and treasured her time there. Jo's daughters were blessed beyond measure to call her Mom. Her family fondly referred to her as Momma Jo. She was an excellent homemaker and cook. She loved to prepare and share meals and home-cooked goodies with family and friends. Momma Jo hosted Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family for many years. Those special times will be treasured memories for years to come. The light of her life was her four granddaughters. Wonderful memories of times spent with Granna will forever remain in their hearts. Jo leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, two daughters, four granddaughters, sister, beloved extended family, friends, and neighbors. Visitation will be Friday November 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Jo's life celebration will be held at First Baptist Church in Waldron on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
