Bio
Ruby Evelyn Englert, 91, of Fort Worth, formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence with her daughter Rulene by her side. Ruby was born September 8, 1925 to Rosa and Roy Curlee in Edna, Texas. She married Reuben John Englert, Sr. on November 17, 1945 in San Angelo. Ruby was a loving mother, homemaker and Christian woman. She was a member of the Church of Christ since 1956. Her passion was service to the Lord and her family. She is survived by her two daughters: Sheri Sherrod of Abilene and Rulene Reynolds and husband Earl of Grand Prairie; two sons: Reuben J. Englert, Jr. and wife Jane of College Station and David Englert and wife Sharon of San Antonio; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, her husband, four brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 24, 2017 10:00 AM at Myers & Smith Chapel with Greg Surles, Minister of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM at Belvedere Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
