The Funeral Service for Willodean Page Marbut age 89, of Athens, AL; will be Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Kip McKee and Brother Heath Haney officiating. She will lie in State Friday from 10-11 A.M. at the church Burial will be Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2015: 6-9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Mrs. Marbut passed away Tuesday August 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born May 19, 1926 in Limestone County, AL to Elbert L Page and Ida Chapman Page. Mrs. Marbut was a homemaker who loved cooking, sewing, and making a garden. She was a member of Salem Springs Baptist Church. She received her GED in 1986 at the age of 60. Mrs. Marbut is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert L. Page, sister Emma Jean Jostworth and son-in-law Griggs Rose. She is survived by her son Lyndon Marbut of Minor Hill, TN; four daughters Marie King and husband Dave of Decatur, AL; Joyce Rose of Elkmont, AL; Brenda McMasters and husband Dan of Minor Hill, TN; Diane Jackson and husband Dickie of Anderson, AL; 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Salem Springs Baptist Church or Favorite Charity.
