Ronald Clement John Rolenc, the son of Clement and Evelyn (Lewis) Rolenc was born June 2, 1940 at Ulysses, Nebraska. He passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 17 days. Ron was raised on a farm near Ulysses and started farming with his father when he was 11 years old. In 1958, he graduated from high school at Seward, Nebraska. Ron was united in marriage to Judy Anderson on June 21, 1961 at Ulysses, Nebraska. He worked a few years with Judy’s step-father as a mechanic at David City, Nebraska. Ron continued as a mechanic when they moved to Lyton, Iowa and then to Greenfield, Iowa working for the Chevrolet dealer. They made their home in Red Oak in 1964, when Ron went to work at Kerkhoff Implement. In 1969, Ron started his own business, Red Oak Diesel Clinic, moving to its present location in l974. Ron was a hard worker and still loved farming his small farm north of Red Oak. He enjoyed listening to Polka music and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Oak. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Belinda Rolenc and five siblings. Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Rolenc of Red Oak, IA; three sons: Scott and wife Cindy Rolenc of Red Oak, IA, Steve and wife Dee Rolenc of Tucson, AZ and Stanford and wife Stacey Rolenc of Red Oak, IA; ten grandchildren: Nicholas and wife Crystal Rolenc of Council Bluffs, IA, Jennifer and husband Jason Roberts of Council Bluffs, IA, Mysti Rolenc of Red Oak, IA, Abigail, Spencer and Makayla Rolenc of Tucson, AZ, Weston, Garrett, Rhenn and Tessa Rolenc of Red Oak, IA; five great-grandchildren: Alex and Ava Rolenc, Colby and Faith Hansen, Leah Roberts all of Council Bluffs, IA; two brothers: Robert and wife Connie Rolenc of Lincoln, NE and Richard and wife Marlene Rolenc of Ulysses, NE; sister, Sharon and husband Paul Coe of Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. May God bless his memory and give strength to those who mourn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. At St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Oak, IA Burial at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Omaha, NE at 2:30 p.m. Father, Tom Kunnel, TOR, Officiating Visitation with the family on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with the Wake Service starting at 7:00 p.m. and visitation to follow until 9:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, and visitation on Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time of 10:30 a.m. A memorial is being established in Ron’s name. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
