AUSTIN - Laura Belle 'Lolly' Mitchell James, age 88, passed away on July 4, 2017 in Ganado, Texas. Laura was born on January 28, 1929 in Austin, Texas to Robert and Ann Mitchell. She grew up with two sisters; Bernie Derrington and Judy Bryan. Lolly married Milton 'F.M.' James on April 3, 1948. They resided in Vidor, Beaumont, Bevil Oaks and Bastrop, Texas. She attended Lamar Tech (now Lamar University) to study nursing and history. Lolly loved to read, crochet and do family history research. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Lolly is survived by her two children; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one sister, five nieces and two nephews. A graveside service for Lolly will be at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas.
