Bio

Viva C. Klein, 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, former Lexington resident, died Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society in Arapahoe. She was born February 18, 1923, in Elwood, Nebraska, to Walter and Edna (Parsons) Fish. Viva grew up in the Elwood/Lexington area since 1939. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Klein on November 14, 1939, in Lexington. Four boys were blessed to this marriage; Larry, Tom, David, and Terry. Viva was a faithful member of the Evangelical Free Church in Lexington. She enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, quilting, and crafting. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved attending her son’s activities while they were growing up. As a mother of four sons you know she had a great sense of humor (she had to)! She was a great lady who always had a beautiful smile. She will be so missed. Survivors include her sons; Larry (Marge) Klein of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Tom Klein of Walden, Colorado, David Klein of Waco, Nebraska, and Terry (Sandi) Klein of Beaver City, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Viva was preceded in death by her parents; husband, grandson, Brian; three sisters, Vivian, Angie and Fern; and, daughter-in-law, Marilyn. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Evangelical Free Church in Lexington with Pastors Duane Russell and Michael Boling officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
