Bio
Sally J. Wiese, 89, of Washington passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Select Post Acute Care in Eureka, IL. She was born on April 17, 1928, in Hartselle, AL, daughter of the late Robert Edgar and Mary Ellen Tapscott Boyer. She married William J. Minor. She later married Robert E Wiese in 1968 and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Dennis Minor of Falkville, AL, William (Laurie) Minor of Port Angeles, WA, Douglas (Dianne) Minor of Lawrenceburg, TN, Donald Minor of Madison, WI, and Charlotte Stone of Washington, IL. Further surviving are three brothers, Paul Boyer of Deer Creek, IL, David (Clara) Boyer of Hartselle, AL, and Brent Boyer of Somerville, AL; and one sister, Beryl Hess of Marquette Heights, IL. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She was the owner and operator of Sally's Beauty Shop in Washington, operating from her home. She was also the sponsor of Sally's Cut-Ups bowling team at Plaza Lanes in Washington for several years. She beautified her world not only with her personality, but was also a devoted flower gardener. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
