Arlene L. (Kander) Witt, 87 January 24, 1930 ~ June 28, 2017 Arlene was born January 24, 1930 To Charles and Blazina 'Belina' Kander at the Schuyler Hospital in Schuyler, NE. She attended district #32 school in Stanton County, graduated from Howells, NE High School in 1947, attended Wayne State Teachers College in Wayne, NE and finished her degree at Midland College (now University) in Fremont, NE in 1968. She taught school for 30 years in Coon Rapids, Iowa; West Point, NE.; districts #12 and #27 in rural Dodge County, NE and the Scribner-Snyder School District. Arlene married Mylo Witt on June 1, 1952. They were blessed with two children. Arlene was an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner, NE. Arlene L. Witt, age 87 of Scribner, Nebraska died Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Fremont Health in Fremont, Nebraska. Left with memories are daughter Cynthia Kreikemeier of Snyder, NE; grandchildren: Katrina (Ricardo) Puopolo of Gretna, NE; Tyler (Jessica) Kreikemeier of Valley, NE; Nathan (Friend Taylor Huppert) Kreikemeier of Lincoln, NE; great-grandchildren: Brynn and Claire Kreikemeier, Blake and Lyla Puopolo. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Mylo in 1994, son Galen in 1972, parents and brother Delaine. The funeral will be 10:30am Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will conduct services, and offer words of comfort. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 4-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Memorials in Arlene's name may be given to the church.
