Mrs. Josephine Woerner, Nee Hardt, was born October 30, 1868 in Goliad County, died November 11, 1930 at 7:45 A.M. at Quihi, Texas. She was one of a large family. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Five brothers and three sisters living. Sister Woerner joind the Methodist Church, June 8, 1917 at New Fountain, under the Ministry of Rev. Henry Jordan. She remained a faithful member until God called her home. Services were conducted at the home, her pastor officiated assisted by Rev. Haaskarl, pastor of Quihi Luthern Church. A vacant place at the home, church, and community, but heaven is richer by her presence. Forty years and one month she shared joy and sorrow with her now bereaved husband, Bro. Emil Woerner. To the husband and relatives a heart filled sympathy is extended by the community.
