Bio

James Robert Karr passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the age of 90. He was a resident of Destrehan, La for 54 years and recently moved to Gonzales. The World War II Navy veteran was the loving husband of Gene Karr. He is survived by his children: Jimmy Karr (Jan), Gary Karr (Patricia), and David Karr (Penny). He was the grandfather of Andrew Karr, Travis Karr, Shanda Pollard, Chelsea Segrue, Windy Haist, Michael Karr, Matthew Karr, Stacie Stein, Katie Schexnayder and was a great grandfather to 18. Special thanks to Clarity Hospice for all of their help and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at St. Charles United Methodist Church at 1905 Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan, La on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. A Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Tim Lawson will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan.
