Wingo, 99, 1300 N. Canal St., died June 11, 1993, at the North Canal Lakeview Christian Home. No local services are planned. He was born May 16, 1894, in Abilene, Texas, where he was raised. He moved to Las Vegas, N.M. in 1918 and lived there until 1965, He came to Carlsbad in 1969 and moved to Lakeview Christian Home in 1985. Survivors include one daughter, Eileen Johnson of Carlsbad; one son, Truman Wingo of Green Valley, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial contributions can be made to Lakeview Christian Home or a favorite charity. Arrangements were handled by Denton Funeral Home.
