Bio
Charolette Lee Northcraft, age 85, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. Born May 26, 1932, in Artemas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Barbara (Bowman) Mountain, and the widow of Gene Herbert Northcraft, whom she married in 1950, and who died in 2008. She was a 1949 graduate of Everett High School, in Everett, Pa. She retired from employment with London Fog Mfg., in Hancock. She is survived by a son, Steven H. Northcraft, of Hancock; a sister, Mary Galley, of Monrovia, Md.; two grandchildren, Olivia D. Mathias and her husband, Mark, of Smithsburg, Md., and S. Christopher Northcraft and his wife, Sarah, of Eldersburg, Md.; five great-grandchildren, Poppy and Samuel Mathias, and Sophia, Stella, and Steve Northcraft. The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., and at the Fairview Christian Church, in Artemas, Pa., on Friday June 16, 2017, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., when a Funeral Service will be held there with Rev. William Swope  officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
