Gerion James Ermis, 79, of El Campo, died Saturday, June 14, 2003. He was born July 21, 1923, in Schulenburg, to the late James A. and Sydney Pazderny Ermis. He was a retired mechanic for Industrial Motor Service and a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Survivors: wife, Margaret Hill Ermis; daughter, Rosemary Cruthirds of Houston; sons, James Ermis of Corpus Christi, Don Ermis of Katy and Philip Ermis of Bay City; brother, Ben Ermis of Granite Shoals; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin 2 p.m. today at Triska Funeral Home chapel. A parish wake service will be 5 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, the Rev. Ty Bazar officiating. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
