Mrs. Lillie Clark McDonald, 53, died at her residence, 2304 Odin avenue, at 9:30 p. m. Sunday. She is survived by her husband, C. R. McDonald of Houston; two sisters, Misses Mary and Bertha Smith of Savannah, Mo.; and two brothers, Will Smith of Savannah, and Fred Smith of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at the Fogle-West chapel at 2 p. m. Monday with Mr. Mills of Gospel Hall officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood cemetery under direction of Fogle-West company . __________________ Daughter of Abraham and Nancy Smith, per her death certificate. The informant was her husband C. R. McDonald. She was the second wife of Claude Richard McDonald. They were married October 30, 1929 in Harris County, Texas, after the death of Claude's first wife, Ada Turner McDonald in 1927. Lillie was also previously married. Her marriage record to Claude shows her name as Lillie M. Clark. The 1880 census of Vermillion, Marshall County, Kansas, lists her parents as Abram Smith, born 1847 in Indiana and Nancy Posten Smith, born 1845 in Missouri. The death certificate of her husband, Claude Richard McDonald, indicates he died on January 21, 1939, but his tombstone shows January 21, 1938. His date of birth is also different on his tombstone. His death certificate shows February 20, 1879, and his WWI draft registration shows February 25, 1882. Lillie McDonald's unmarked grave is located near the white wooden fence located in the background of the photo, right of the marker of Dexter Allen Puckitt .
