Travis Dale Stewart, 91, of Bedford passed away on Sunday March 12, 2023, at his home with his wife and daughter by his side. Travis was born on December 27, 1931 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, the son of Roy Mack and Nora Mae (Fugitt) Stewart. Travis was a 1951 graduate of Magnet Cove High School in Magnet Cove, Arkansas. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Travis married Yvonne Evelyn Sears on May 23, 1996, in Malvern, Arkansas. Travis worked in quality control at General Motors for over 57 years before retiring. He was a member of the VFW Post in Bedford. Some of his favorite hobbies were competing in gun shoots, fishing, antiquing, and watching football. He loved animals and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Travis is survived by his wife, Yvonne Stewart of Bedford; his daughter, Vickie Lynn (William) Ransbottom of Dallas, Georgia; two grandchildren, Heath (Lauryn) Ransbottom of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; Erica Ransbottom of Acworth, Georgia; a great-grandson, Blaze Ransbottom of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; one brother, Buddy Stewart of Hot Springs Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Stewart; his parents, a brother, James Houston Stewart; and a sister, Martha Faye Mansfield. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
