Bio

Catherine Richey, 90, Oblong, Illinois died Wednesday March 29, 2006 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Catherine was born in Petrolia, Illinois on May 5, 1915 and was the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Smith) Brown. On October 4, 1934, she married George Henry Richey and he preceded her on November 13, 1984. Catherine was a homemaker. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Oblong, Illinois where she was a member since 1934. Catherine loved to sew. Catherine is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis Ann & Clarence Ray Richart and Nancy & Steve Wall; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Daisy Brown and several nieces and nephews. Catherine is preceded by her parents, husband; one great-grandson, Jarred Wall; two brothers, Harold & Frank Brown Jr. and two sisters, Mildred Brown and Geneva Brown Sanders.
