Bonnie's former husband, Jim, survives her. Burial of ashes. ∼ Tribune, The (Ames, IA) - Tuesday, September 6, 2011 (edited) Bonnie Jane Adams, 86, of Ames, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Story County Medical Center in Nevada. Graveside services at Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Bonnie was born on February 18, 1925, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Edward L. and Hazel (Workman) McNeel. She was a 1943 graduate of North Platte High School. On Thanksgiving Day in 1944, Bonnie married Jim Adams in Liberal, Kansas. After moving to Ames in 1973, she and Jim were co-owners of Adams Cycles. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting and loved watching college football. Bonnie is survived by her former husband, Jim Adams, of Ames; two sons, Terry Adams, of Nevada, and Kenny (Jennifer) Adams, of Ames; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
