Bio

ASHTON — David A. Moraczewski, 66, of Ashton died on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at home. Cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be at a later date. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements. David Anthony Moraczewski was born on June 24, 1950, at Flint, Mich., to Alexander and Geraldine (Crain) Moraczewski. He grew up and attended school in Flint. On Sept. 12, 1967, he entered the Marines Corps and served in the Vietnam War. He was discharged on Oct. 7, 1968. He lived in Michigan until he moved to Ashton. On July 31, 2003, he married Vicki Janulewicz. He is survived by his wife, Vicki of Ashton; sons, Dave Jr. and Doug of Flint, Mich.; a daughter, Lisa of Flint, Mich.; stepsons, Chad Janulewicz of Grand Island and Larry Jo Janulewicz of Petersburg, Ind.; nine grandchildren; a brother, Donald, and wife, Karen, Moraczewski of Flint, Mich.; and a sister, Patricia Moraczewski of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Geraldine; a brother, Alexander; a sister, Sandra; and numerous uncles.
