Robert Boyd Farmer, age 76, of Waco, formerly of Arlington, passed away Friday afternoon, February 16, 2007 at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home with Minister Terry Slack officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West conducted by West V.F.W. Post #4819. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Robert was the son of Virgil B. and Bonnie Bell (Boyd) Farmer. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1948 and attended Texas A&M University. On April 21, 1951 he was united in marriage to Clara Mae Gaidusek in West. Robert served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1954. Robert owned Shep's Little Chicken Shack in Arlington for 17 years and Clara's Hallmark Shop in Hurst for seven years before retiring in 1987. He also worked as an insurance salesman. Robert enjoyed playing golf and was also a licensed pilot. He was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Arlington. He was preceded in death by Clara, his wife of 56 years, on February 1, 2007; his parents; and brother, Jack Farmer. Survivors include son, Kenneth Ray Farmer and wife, Morgan, of Euless; daughters, Pat Collins and husband, Jim, of Fort Worth and Linette Teske and husband, Kirk, of Arlington; grandchildren, Kaitlin Teske, Austin Teske, Bryan Collins, and Chelsea Collins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. - Rest in heavenly peace ~*Ladypepper
