Bio

Laddie R Vasek, 82, of Fayetteville, TX, passed away on, Monday, May 22, 2017. Laddie was born in Fayetteville, Texas on April 17, 1935, the son of Louis Vasek and Caroline (Biel) Vasek. He married Margie Supak on October 26, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellinger, Texas. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and owned a dairy in Fayetteville for many years and sold milk to the milk processing plant in La Grange. He enjoyed ranching, tending to his cattle, hunting, fresh water fishing, gardening, playing dominoes, peeling pecans, trail rides, spending time with his friends and especially receiving his "hugs from his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Laddie is survived by his wife, Margie; a daughter, Missy Randermann and fiance Bobby Duncum, of Industry; three sons: Joey and Jodi Vasek of Fayetteville; Mike Vasek and wife, Kathy, of La Grange; Randy "Poncho" Vasek of Fayetteville; a sister, Evelyn Kneblik of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren: Geno Vasek and wife, Molly; Caleb Vasek; Morgan Vasek and special friend, Dustyn Tiemann; Brett Vasek and wife, Cindy; Allyssa Vasek and fiance, Daniel; Tanner Randermann; Reagan Randermann and special friend, Taylor; Hayden Hatfield; and eight great grandchildren: Layne, Quinn, Makynzie, Maddie, B. J., Elizabeth, Tyler and Matilda; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Vasek; grandson, Eric Vasek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Kathleen ( Banks) Supak; two brothers: Jerome and Edwin Vasek; four sisters: Sidonia Kasmiersky, Edith Orsak, Bessie Stammann and Nollie Meinardus. Visitation will be held at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville. Family will receive friends. A rosary will be recited. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville with Rev Fr. Nock Russell officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter, Fayetteville VFD or a charity of one's choice.
