Harriet Conner married Augustus Woodford Herod Dec. 27, 1848, in Trimble Co., Kentucky. She died at the home of her daughter, Mary Margaret Rowley, in Sayre, Arkansas. The Evening Republican Columbus, Indiana Thurs., Sept. 2, 1897 The funeral of Mrs. A.W. Herod, who died at Sayre, Ark., will take place from the residence of Charles Boeschen, No. 1452 Chestnut street, at 5 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Percy Kendall. Mrs. Herod was seventy years old, and formerly resided in this city. She is the mother of Mrs. Nolting and Mrs. Oscar Rowley.
