Bio
Lois Irene Myers, 83, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was born May 18, 1934, in Marsing, Idaho to Aldena and Ernest Mattox. She married Elton Myers on June 7, 1952 and was a member of Sunshine Open Bible Church. Helping people was Lois's calling and she was a CNA and worked in housekeeping for many years at Regency Care Center in Norwalk and Good Samaritan in Indianola. She enjoyed coloring, crafts, gardening, and watching TV and movies. Lois loved being around people and enjoyed visiting neighbors and going out to eat. Lois is survived by her husband, Elton Myers; Children, James (Lorraine) Myers of Des Moines, IA, LeeAnn Taylor of Carson, IA, Dale (Debbie) Myers of Mercer, MO, Steve Myers of Des Moines, IA, Betsy (Dennis) McClarnon of Clarinda, IA, and Ernie (Carla) Myers of Des Moines, IA; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sibling, Gloria Young; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Lewis Taylor; and siblings. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery, 4400 E.
