Bio
Charlie Horn, 67, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, after a long fight against cancer. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at First Methodist Mansfield Church, 777 N. Walnut Creek Drive, Mansfield, 76063. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to your favorite charity . Charlie graduated from Sunset High School in 1967 and received a master's from the University of North Texas in Denton. He was a teacher and coach in the H-E-B ISD (Harwood Junior High and Career & Technical Education Academy) for 44 years. Preceding him in death were his father, Rev. Raymond Horn; his mother, Dorothy Horn Gard; brother, David Ray Horn; and stepfather, Robert S. Gard. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Jan; son, Patrick Horn and wife, Ashley, of Holt, Mich.; daughter, Christen Marshall and husband, Danny, of Frisco; grandchildren, Aubrey Horn, Danielle and Andrew Marshall; brothers, Robert Horn and wife, Tommie, of Lancaster and John Horn and wife, Nancy, of Petersburg; stepsister, Kimberly White and husband, Lynn, of Allen; stepbrother, Chris Gard and wife, Linda, of Dallas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
