Rhoda Jane Hughes as first wife to Andrew Jackson Berry married July 29 1839 Burleson TX. She is dau/o Bradford and Rebecca Hughes of SC. They had 9 children. Rhoda’s brother Moses Hughes married Hannah Berry [AJ’s half sister] Jan 29 1840 to became lst white Lampasas settlers. Hughes family coming from SC after Rhoda was born to Talledga Co Ala where Moses was born confuses folks, they stayed there til heading to TX. 1848 moved Williamson Co settled near Georgetown where the Berry family was settling on Berry Creek and the San Gabriel River, living in this area 1860 where Rhoda Jane Hughes likely died 1866, following the last birth of her 9th child Eunice 1865.
