Sioux Falls, SD. Leona J. Peck, age 104, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Dells Nursing and Rehab Center in Dell Rapids, SD. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 22, 2017 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wentworth, SD. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Leona J. Graff was born on August 26, 1912 in rural Lake County, SD. Leona received her education in Rutland, SD graduating from Rutland High School. Leona was united in marriage to Lloyd Peck on August 26, 1935 in Huron, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, SD. Leona worked for many years as a baker with Fantles & Normandy. Leona and Lloyd were members of First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Lloyd passed away on October 9, 1989. Grateful for having shared her life are her sisters, Lois Vaughn of Omaha, NE, Joanne (Bev) Adams of Apple Valley, MN, and Doris Minarovic of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Galen Graff of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Leona is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence B. and Georgine Graff; husband, Lloyd A. Peck; six brothers, Ardean, Donald, Vincent, Harlan, Alan (Bud), and Dudley; and two sisters, Thelma Grable and Donna Lord. - George Boom Funeral Home
