Bio
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 10am from the St. Rose Catholic Church, in Schulenburg. Visitation will begin after 5pm on Tuesday from the funeral home. The Schulenburg VFW and American Legion services will be held at 6:30pm with the Parish and Knights of Columbus rosary recited at 7pm, all services will be from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. Entombment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Mausoleum, Schulenburg, Tx. Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Schulenburg VFW and American Legion. The family is requesting donations be made to the St. Rose Catholic Church, Schulenburg, Tx or Schulenburg Vol. Fire Dept. Schulenburg, Tx or a charity of one's choice. Survivors include: wife-Dolores Sassin of Schulenburg; daughter-Marleen Rickert/husband Chris of Hempstead; son-Jerome Sassin, Jr./wife Laurie of Schulenburg; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
